Google Analytics: Event Tracking

TwineSocial offers basic and advanced analytics for your social media hubs—a comprehensive advanced reporting and analytic package. The Advanced Analytics feature allows you to feed Event Tracking events to your existing Google Analytics account.

Event tracking allows you to measure how users interact with the content in your campaigns. For example, you might want to measure how many times an item was shared on Facebook, or how many times a particular item was retweeted on Twitter.

Enabling Google Analytics Event Tracking

To activate Google Analytics Event Tracking:

  1. Choose Campaigns from the left navigation pane
  2. Choose Advanced Settings & Security... next to the campaign.
  3. On the following page, simply paste in your Google Analytics tracking ID and press Save.

That's it! Now, you'll start seeing your Event Tracking data from within your Google Analytics account.

Note: To activate Google Analytics Event Tracking, you'll need to have an Enhanced or Enterprise account.
